Lipstick Activity (Friday December 2 2011)

This activity was possibly the most enjoyed by all the male students (sarcasm intended)
Basically, we had to apply lipstick on our lips and stamp a mark on a small sheet of white construction paper. After the marks were placed, we had to observe and write down as many important details as we could. We had to look for scars, marks, lines, curves etc.  Similar to fingerprints, lips are unique to the person. However, lips are not as accurate as fingerprints:

After all the students stamped their lips on a small sheet of paper, we repeated the process and we all stamped our lips on the same paper. Next, we exchanged the papers with another group and we had to determine who was the owner of each stamp. In addition, we had to analyze the stamps and write down as many characteristics as possible.

its strange, I never expected for lips to be a source of identification, everyone always thinks of fingerprints as that. you did really well on this one!!
