The Final Crime Scene (Sunday December 4 2011)

On this day, all of our accumulated knowledge of forensics would be put to the test. We were given 1 out of 3 different scenarios, each with a different crime. My group got the task of solving scenario 2. It was the case involving Ginger Snaps and Candi Stores.
Upon arrival at the scene of the crime, my fellow investigators and I discovered these three important pieces of evidence:

Clue1: A dead red headed woman, hair length is long an curly. victim was wearing a black shirt. The victim was found on top of a silver car. It appears the cause of death was a large slit on the throat. the clean cut suggests a very sharp knife.

Clue2: Type O blood was found at the scene. This blood type matches with both Ginger Snaps and Candi Stores.

Clue3: There was a tented arch fingerprint found at the scene. Upon comparison to the database, we can determine that it belonged to Candi Stores.

Clue4/5: A cup was found with a strange blue liquid inside. It could potentially be poisonous. There is a stain on the edge of the cup which might also be lipstick of either Ginger snaps or Candi Stores. All tests for drugs and poisons were negative.

Clue 6: there was a soft white fiber found. Upon the analysis under the microscope, we are able to see the spiral patterns along the shaft. It matches to the Cotton fiber sample.

Clue 7: A note with the words "please help me" was found at the scene. Upon comparison to the available references, we can determine that it was Ginger Snap's writing. The writing is very flowing, there are a lot of loops, there are narrow spaces between the letters, and the text slants to the right.

Clue 7a: Another note was found at the crime. This note matched to Candi Store's handwriting. It states "I need the money." The note is written in a very messy print. The amount of pen pressure is very high.

Clue 8: A black fiber was found at the scene of the crime. We can determine that it is inorganic, its tightly woven together, and it could possibly belong to the victim's shirt. The fiber could possibly be nylon since the stitching is similar to the nylon sample

clue 9: A golden necklace was found at the crime scene. A spiraling pattern along the necklace is noticeable. The necklace is not real gold. A strange little square was found attached with the initials " LR"

Clue 10: A central pocket loop was found. It matches to Ginger Snap's

Clue 11: We discovered a fingerprint on a small clear glass plate. We are unable to determine the pattern to the print being obscured.

What Really Happened:
Ginger Snaps was bartender at a local strip club in which Candi Stores worked in. They were close acquaintances but they never really got too involved in each other's lives'. The time had come for Ginger Snaps to pay Candi Stores for her services at the club. However, Ginger was unable to pay her due to a sudden lack of revenue. Candi understood at first and waited. During that time, Ginger was afraid Candi might do something violent so she wrote a note saying "please help me" After a few days, Candi was outraged! She went over to the counter where Ginger was at and Ginger offered a drink. Candi willingly accepted the drink. Next they discussed the payment. Although Ginger din't have any cash, she compensated her with a large gold necklace. Candi accepted and took the necklace as payment. However, upon closer inspection, Candi discovered that the necklas was a fake! The next day Candi violently ran in to the club and pulled Ginger out into the parking lot by the shirt (which caused both cotton and nylon to fall out). During their argument, they began to fight and left several fingerprints everywhere. After a lot of fighting, Candi slit ginger's throat and killed Ginger with a very sharp knife. Astonished from what she did, Candi fled from the scene of the crime but left a note that said "I needed the money"

I agree with Asami.
The amount of detail included with each clue is excellent. Also, I enjoyed reading the story.
the images of the event really are helpful in providing understanding in the readers ^-^
